The M-22 House was created by Michael Fitzhugh Architect in combination of important materials, such as glass, steel, and concrete. Located near Wets Grand Traverse Bay in Michigan, USA, the modern residence which applies an Italian hanging fireplace is built on top of a ridge. There are two parts of house, one has two levels and another has three floors. First level is covered with concrete material or natural stones, whereas second one has wooden panels. The top floor then has paneled woods but in dark gray paint color.
Bring homey feeling, not only for interior design but also for exterior side of modern residence design. Strong foundation of outdoor terrace is made by wooden deck built from furnished woods. Then, put several comfy chairs on it. In the middle, create a stone fire pit. From this space, enter that sliding glass door and people can reach bedroom. Bedroom design has black carpet under bedding and under the Italian hanging fireplace. Accent wall of gray wood is made as backdrop.
Second floor is used as reading spot or working space. Fill this area with black bookshelf and store lots of book collections. Do not forget yellow recliner so people can do their job or simply read book in maximum comfy. First floor has warm ambiance from living room, designed with purple sofas. Place side table between sofas and put gray marble table in front part.
Kitchen space more elegant look in modern touch. Black drawers are installed under white marble countertop. Pastry area has wall installed with very long glass windows. Therefore, people can cook while enjoying scenery outside. Private zone in second floor then has black armchairs in tufted accent. Yellow stool looks stylish, whereas homeowner also adds black velvet chairs.
